Requirements
In order to complete a semester away concentration in computer science at Georgia Tech, a student must:

  1.       Have a 3.4 or better GPA
  2.       Complete all the prerequisite courses  with a C or better
  • Math 1261 – Calc I,  Math 1262 – Calc II,
  • CSCI 1301 – Computer Science I – Java
  • CSCI 1302 – Computer Science II – Java
  • CSCI 2350 – OO Programming – C++
  • CSCI 3680 – Discrete Structures (Math)
  • CSCI 3410 – Intro to Data Structures
  • CSCI 3211 – Assembly Language
  • CSCI 3341 – Operating Systems
  • CSCI 3212 – Computer Organization & Architecture
  • CSCI 3342 – System & Network Programming
  • CSCI 4710 – Databases
  • CSCI 4520 – Analysis of Algorithms
  1.     Complete a transient application for admission at GA Tech (due no later than July 1)

  1.     File a petition with Georgia College to eliminate the residency requirement
  2.   Receive a C or better in all courses at Georgia Tech
  3.    Request transcripts be sent to Georgia College from Georgia Tech after the semester is completed
